I COULD NEVER DO THAT!
So many people say this about working with theatre groups but the fact is – YES YOU CAN!

Most of our team had never had any experience before, but found that once they took that first step to join, they were hooked! For instance, 'H', who had never thought he could act, sing, or dance, joined us in 2019 ( after having his arm twisted a tad!), finding that he could actually do all three and now we have to hold him back, lol. But not only that, he writes material with us and is the master of design.

I joined Maskeraid (formerly Bananadrama) having never done anything like this before. My very first show, after months of rehearsal, was cancelled (or postponed perhaps) at the eleventh hour due to Covid shut downs. Once normal service was resumed I learnt so much, had a great deal of fun, and made a lot of new friends (some of them in the drama group!). I would recommend to anyone to give it a try.
Amateur theatre group, 'Maskeraid', need more fun loving people to join us in 2024. All you need is a sense of fun, ability to work as a team, enthusiasm for theatre and to be available for rehearsals for a few hours each week.

We need actors and actresses of all ages and abilities but are specific seeking men and women to audition for specific roles in a new comedy play written by some of the cast.
​
Plus, we would welcome people who have an artistic side to them, who can work with our existing team to design and make stage settings and props and help with all backstage jobs and we could really use some expertise from people with sound and/or lighting.
​
If you want to have a bit of fun, can be free (usually) on a Saturday afternoon and don’t take life too seriously, please come along to our rehearsal studio in Gata and meet us. We are there most Saturdays from 2.30pm.

We really do have fun and all proceeds from our productions go to Cancer Care Jávea.
